A Young Adult Writer’s Confession:

DarkForest

First, I must confess. I wasn’t one of those kids, who used to say, “When I grow up, I want to be a writer.”  Nope. Not me. In fact, I was just the opposite.

As a child, I loathed reading and writing. “Me? Write?” Laughs. “Never.” – Oh, talk about the irony.

Then one day in 2009, I had a strange dream. I dreamed about these interesting characters who go on a mysterious adventure together. It was unforgettable! I felt like I’d just watched an amazing movie. I tried so hard to bury my recollection of the dream deep within my mind, but it kept on resurfacing, urging me to do something with it.

Finally, in the summer of 2010, I got the courage to write out this story spinning in my head. I thought it’s just a phase I’m going through. I’ll never finish. I’m not a writer. And, so began my writing journey…

What I used to describe as a “fling” soon became a hobby, and then an obsession. I became hooked on writing, and as a result, I started to read more too. I couldn’t even admit, “I’m a writer,” out loud until autumn 2012. – Close to three years later.

This site is dedicated to anyone interested in reading a Young Adult (YA) trilogy based on and inspired by an actual dream. Isn’t the subconscious an amazing thing?
